THE ONLY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE RECIPE YOU'LL EVER NEED
I have to say, over my years of baking, I've tried handfuls of chocolate chip cookie recipes. Searching for what I perceived as the ultimate cookie. A crisp exterior, with a chewy bite and just enough chocolate to satisfy my sweet tooth. Some were good, others blah, but this one here....this one ended my search. And it has a secret ingredient that makes it irresistibly better than the rest. Pudding. This recipe will become your go-to. So, without further ado, I present to you, the only chocolate chip cookie recipe you'll ever need.
THE ONLY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE RECIPE YOU'LL EVER NEED
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3.4 oz. package vanilla instant pudding mix
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
1. Using a mixer, beat together butter and sugars until creamy.
2. Add in pudding mix, eggs, and vanilla extract.
3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
4.Stir in the chocolate chips.
5.Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheet and cover with plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes, (or up to three days). Preheat oven to 350º while cookies are chilling.
6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until slight golden on the edges. Remove cookies from oven and let cool on baking sheet for two minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely.
